Elli and Marco are an unusual married couple. Due to psychological damage they suffered as children, they both now have urges that they try to repress in their married life – Marco as a homosexual, and Elli as a nymphomaniac. Their marriage allows them to blend in within the confines of their social life in a sanctimonious provincial town – Marco as a university professor, Elli as a respectable society housewife. But then Marco’s old English lover, the strange George, reappears and tries to wrest him from Elli. This could push Marco over the edge with a thirst for murder.

This is the only film role of the beautiful Margareta Veroni – who won Miss Italy in 1973. (And yes, she does strip off in this film.)
Lisa Gastoni won Italy’s prestigious Nastro d’Argento award for Best Actress in the year this film was made – and had also previously won it in 1967 (when she also won Italy’s Foreign Press Association’s Golden Globe award.). AKA Lips of Lurid Blue.
