Description:
—Inspector Angel Barciela investigates the strange death of a man who has appeared in the Retiro with a shot to the temple and a pistol in his hand. What initially looks like suicide ends up becoming a more complicated matter. That corpse is related to two other murders and to old Civil War affairs. Barciela’s investigation leads him to Julia Buendía, a young woman with a stormy past before which he falls exhausted. Built on the basis of regressions, the film unfolds in three stages: the years of the Spanish Civil War, 1942 and 1952
