Michael Winner’s sleazy, slap-dash version of Nancy Drew. A young girl, with good cause of course, suspects that her slimy car salesman stepdad is up to no good. Namely, that he plans to off her dear mother and inherit the family fortune. She and her sort of slutty friend start investigating, which involves a lot of sneaking around on bikes and watching grownups have sex. Then about halfway through it mutates into sort of a “Straw Dogs” ripoff. Shot with a TV movie level of competence, Winner would follow this film with the notorious (for several reasons) “Death Wish III”. This is a great piece of exploitation, though, with its pervy vibe and low production value. John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin provides the score. Also notable as the film debut of Rocco Sisto, who played Professor Hess in “The American Astronaut”
