La zia di Monica (1980)

Director: Giorgio Mille

Starring: Karin Well, Magda Konopka, Gianni Dei, Umberto Raho, Ugo Giorgetti, Eleonora Green, Sheila Ray, Charles Duval, Giuseppe Terranova
Description: Two women share a tragic and supernatural destiny that binds them together even after death. Monica Serrano, a world-renowned pianist with an impressive fortune, dies after the betrayal of her ambitious niece and the man she loves. But by way of a mysterious talisman, Monica’s soul, which does not accept departing from this world, occupies the body of Adriana Aguilar, a modest waitress that dies at the hands of a dangerous gangster. Now, in Adriana’s body, Monica’s soul will do the impossible to defend her children and seek justice while Adriana’s soul wanders this world. Motivated by love, Adriana decides to recover her body, but Monica will resist this until her mission has been completed.

This typical sex comedy — available in both softcore and hardcore versions — concerns a group of college girls who mess with each other at school and mess with everyone else when they come home. Unremarkable in nearly every other detail, it is of interest primarily to Eurotrash completists for Karin Well’s body and the familiar supporting cast including Gianni Dei, Magda Konopka, and Umberto Raho. Editor Luigi Batzella directed such horror favorites as Il Plenilunio delle Virgini and La Bestia in Calore, while director Giorgio Mille cranked out a number of similar T&A comedies around the same time.
