After the death of her mother under strange circumstances, a teenage girl quickly begins to suspect that her recently widowed stepfather may be involved.

A young woman leaves boarding school and returns to her late mother’s estate. The official explanation of her death was suicide, but suspicions mount when she learns that her stepfather has been having an affair with the deceased woman’s friend (Neri). The young woman is heir to the bulk of the dead woman’s fortune, so the stepfather and his lover plot to eliminate the young woman… but she is far more cunning than she seems.
